Dental Bone Grafts

Since dental implants function as artificial tooth roots and are about the same size and shape as natural tooth roots, they need approximately the same amount of bone as was present before teeth were lost. Where insufficient bone is present for placement of dental implants, Dr. Brodine may place a bone graft. A bone graft essentially creates an environment in which a persons body can grow the bone back that used to be present before teeth were lost.
